Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation Procedure (LVR®) at the Vaginal Rejuvenation Institute of Virginia

Vaginal Rejuvenation is an umbrella term which covers more than a few different medical procedures and is often referred to as female genital cosmetic surgery, labiaplasty, vaginoplasty, designer vaginal rejuvenation surgery and more.

Physical changes that used to be unavoidable to generations of the past are now highly treatable and correctible with the many advances of Science and medicine. With Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation (LVR®) it is possible to effectively enhance vaginal muscle tone, strength, and control. It will also effectively decrease the internal and external vaginal diameters as well as build up and strengthen the perineal body. Patients who suffer from stress urinary incontinence (involuntary loss of urine with laughing, coughing, sneezing, exercising etc.) have also had relief from these conditions after LVR® procedure.

Sexual health is an important aspect of a woman’s life, no matter if you’re in your 20’s or well beyond your 60’s. If you want to achieve the most noticeable age-defying results Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation may be your best option.

LVR® is gentle precision cutting with a specialized laser which offers controlled accuracy that results in a relatively bloodless procedure. LVR® pioneered techniques ensure rapid healing and resumption of daily activities in a short period of time.

What happens during the procedure?

Typically performed on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia, Laser Vaginal Rejuvenation® can last between 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours depending on the extent of the vaginal relaxation and whether both the top (anterior) and bottom (posterior) walls/muscles are treated.

A special laser is used to perform the “proprietary” LVR® technique. The laser is used to do all the cutting and anatomizing. Sutures are used to tighten the muscles of the upper/anterior (if required), lower/posterior and perineum according to the specifications and desires of the patient. Upon completion of the LVR® a vaginal pack is placed and then you are transferred to the recovery room. The recovery period is usually 1 to 2 hours and then you are released into the custody of an adult and you can go home.
